Love my shock cord. This is what I use to strap my River Shoes across the outside of my day pack, as well as serves as the structure for my hammock Underquilt. I wasn't sure the smaller size would be strong enough. I was wrong. The stuff rocks.
I needed this cord to repair an EMS tent- all the shock cord had rotted. This shock cord threaded easily through the poles and now they work like new. Just note: when cut, cord ends must be melted with a flame to avoid fraying.
what I wanted
The shock cord was easy to work with and feels durable for the applications I've tried so far. It is serving as closures on my Fronkey inspired bug net. With cord locks it secures the bottom entry and the ends where the suspension passes through it.
I used this diameter shock cord to make the suspension for an under quilt. This is the perfect diameter and length as I used 2 x 12' sections for the project..
