I styled this bugnet after several different bugnets I have seen. It is 10 feet long with 5" openings to slide your hammock through. This will easily fit an 11' hammock. The openings are drawcord openings that can be sealed against insect entry. Each of these openings have a 2" loop of 3/8" grosgrain sewn to the top seam, which has mitten hooks attached by a loop of 1/16" shock cord for attachment to the hammock suspension. It has a Fronkey-style bottom entry and is adjustable with a cordlock. I can install this bugnet directly onto the hammock structural ridgeline, or I can use a separate ridgeline rigged through the five 2" loops (of 1" grosgrain) sewn along the top seam. These loops are spaced approx 23" apart.
The ridgeline organizer was made from leftover noseeum bugnet material. It measures 12" long, and 6" high. It has a total of 7 pockets and is constructed in two layers (like a sandwich). There are 3 pockets on one side, 3 pockets on the other side, and a long pocket in the center. The two outside center pockets are perfect for slim items like folding knives, eye glasses, flashlights, etc. The long center pocket is perfect for a small book, a map, a fixed blade knife, etc. The other 4 pockets can fit a large variety of items.
