I wanted to make my own hammock so I went here to get my fabric. The hammock fabric guide said that 1.1 oz nylon ripstop could hold 200 lbs. I'm 160 lbs and 5'8" so I ordered 4 yards of the 1.1 oz nylon, and it arrived timely and was exactly what I had ordered. However, the second time I sat in my hammock, it ripped in half. I ended up shortening it and sewing it back together, and now it works alright, I just am much more careful. The rip also could have been caused by the angle I was hanging my hammock at (not enough slack??) But was disappointing nonetheless. Other than that, I have no complaints. I got what I ordered, which may not have been the best choice, but that is not the store's fault.
Came in very timely manner and was exactly what I needed.
Have not received it yet
1.1 oz Ripstop Nylon
I made an under quilt with this fabric. The next step is to build a netless hammock. (I can't wait for the order to arrive!)
I think it is a well-balanced fabric that is easy to sew and handle.
The price is attractive and the specifications are high quality.
The number of grids is about twice the ripstop fabric generally available in my country and the price is 1/2 to 1/3.
Very good quality and feel is great. For those who want to make something with real outdoor fabrics, this is the fabric of choice first.
I will definitely order again because the specification and price are balanced!
