Love your products and absolutely love the fabric I ordered but the shipping was super slow this time and in today’s times, that’s a deal breaker. Shipping from Durham, NC to upstate South Carolina took 10 days. Sorry but just being honest.
Fast shipping, great prices and top notch material. I'll def do business with them again
I’m well into making my send pack in this stuff. The first has done about 2000km on my back and is holding up well however I can do some things better. Keeps my gear dry, so far no tears or other material problems with the first including use for a fair bit of off trail rainforest hiking.
The ripstop with HDPE seems pretty sturdy. Scissors shy from the HDPE fibers.
The fabric is a little slippery to work with. The white grid makes it easy to sew and cut straight.
I made a bare-bones 30L backpack that weighs about 8 oz. total without the waist strap. I can stuff it in my luggage or full size backpack for day trips.
I was thinking of making a similar pack with kevlar or dyneema but this stuff may be sturdy enough.
The material is nice, no doubt. Visually it's a cool material with the HDPE check and ripstop weave. The texture is smooth (almost waxy) with a good balance of stiffness and flexibility. But given the price per yard, I'd recommend going for a higher-tech material such as Dyneema or X-Pac. This is all "old tech" with 91% Nylon and 9% HDPE (not even UHMWPE/Dyneema).
