- The gridstop fabric is great for beginners like me because the grid helps aligning and measuring. Plus it hides well the defects. And of course it’s also light and strong.
- I used synthetic cushion filling inside the shoulder straps. Was not really necessary in addition to the spacer mesh after all.
- Major mistake in this project was how I did the top slider. It’s hard to finish it in a clean way and I should have done what brands do: enclose the end of the zipper in webbing on the outside. (See last photo from an Adidas bag that I own.) I managed to kind-of save it but I’ll be more cautious next time...
