I created a daypack that provides 22L of general storage space, plus a dedicated, padded storage section to carry a large SLR camera. The basic setup is shaped as a standard daypack with a zippered storage area on top, and a protected camera storage area at the bottom, accessed through a side door flap. The shoulder harnesses are copied from an Osprey hiking pack and the suspension consists of a full length sheet of plastic along the back, plus formed plastic Kydex in areas of the camera compartment.
The pack is primarily built of 210D gridstop nylon, with 1.9 oz nylon ripstop as the inner lining. The compression system is 1/8" shock cord affixed by lineloc3 holders on each side.
