1.6 oz HyperD
Hyper D is one of my favorite fabrics.
I like both 1.6 and 1.0.
1.6 has a solid feel and is very luxurious.
The appearance is smooth and colorful.
I think that the function with smooth and little expansion and contraction is most suitable for hammock.
If you wake up with your hands and elbows in a hammock, it hardly sinks.
Therefore, it does not prevent you from turning over or looking for a comfortable posture.
In addition, the 1.6 is very easy to sew, the roll hem and suspension channels are easy to create, and the fabric feels little shrinkage due to sewing.
However, the work must be done as quickly as possible, as the cut edges are likely to fray.
I built two integrated bugnet hammocks from this fabric.
The next plan is a netless hammock because there are so many colors.
Love the fabric feel and color. Excited to make my Hammock.
For me, this is still the fabric to beat when it comes to making gathered-end hammocks. So glad I snatched up the some of the last bit of khaki color on sale!!
Ordered 4 yards to make my first DIY hammock. After a few hours at the sewing machine, I ended up with a hammock that is softer, longer, lighter, and half the cost of my Eno's. This fabric is easy to work with and the instructional videos are easy to follow. Thanks RSBTR!
