    HyperD TMis our custom developed line of lightweight diamond grid nylon. Designed for superior performance and feel, HyperD TM is incredibly strong yet still very soft to the touch.

    At 1.6 oz, this fabric fills the void between 1.9 oz and 1.1 oz weights when you're looking for something lighter while retaining maximum strength and durability.

    The premium choice fabric for projects such as hammocks, stuff sacks, synthetic quilt comforter shells, breathable/lightweight garments, or lightweight bags.

Pretty Colors

This was my first experience with any sort of technical or nylon product. Up until now, I was enjoying my life primarily using cotton fabrics. I have to say from a novice stand point, it’s a little tricky working with this material, because it’s so slippery. It also tends to fray a lot, but that is to be expected. However, with that said, the bags I made came out pretty good. In fact, while I was sewing my projects up, a flood of ideas and possibilities washed over my brain. What I am saying is, a fabric the stirs inspiration is worth more than the price per yard. Which, in this case, wasn’t expensive either! It’s a win-win for me.

This material is top shelf. It is lightweight and silky smooth and is great for all sorts of projects from hammocks to blankets.

Twin hammocks

I recently ordered the 1.6oz HyperD to make matching hammocks for some friends. They're thrilled with the material, as are their kitties who are very curious about the hammocks.

Extremely soft and light!

I bought this as an experiment to make a pair of pants. This isn't exactly its indented use, but the HyperD did quite well and the pants are very comfy and light. I recommend using a walking foot to make stitching easier.

Thanks for your review, Mac! Walking feet definitely help when working with slippery fabrics. We're glad you got to experiment with the fabric and making pants. We've got some Polartec now that would make great pants/joggers.
