Sil/PU (silicone/polyurethane) double coated 1.1 oz ripstop nylon (silnylon). This fabric is coated with a sil/PU layer on each side and is non-breathable. Lightweight  and  durable with   some of the best waterproof/windproof performance on the market.

The silicone coating of this silnylon fabric makes it extremely strong for its weight (the silicone adds to the fabric's tear strength). Our silnylon is highly waterproof, but not breathable. Each side of the silnylon fabric can be exposed to the weather since it's coated on both sides and between the fibers.

Another bonus of silnylon is that its ripstop weave pattern means any small tears in your fabric will not expand or fray. This is done via the small reinforcement grids that are woven into silnylon fabric to prevent rips and runs.

This silnylon is a great fit for projects such as tarps, tents, ponchos, gear sacks, pack covers, or any application where waterproof/windproof fabric is needed.

NOTE  - Colors with a reduced price of $4.75 /yd are being  phased out of inventory. Once sold out, they will not be restocked

Satisfied customer!!

Best price! Good quality. The only caveat was that I ordered 27 yards and got two pieces, one piece was 7 yards and the other was 20 yards.
This worked out for my project but it might not have if I had been doing something different.
In their defense, I did not specify cut length when I made my order….. lesson learned!
Bottom line, very happy with my purchase!

Thanks for your review Clinton. We're glad that it worked out but it's best in the future to specify how you'd like your fabric cut especially when it's for a large scale project. Let us know if you ever have any questions about future projects at

Excellent product

I’m very happy with my purchase from RBTR! The silnylon is everything it was described to be. I have a few projects completed. A cubed zippered sack, a rolltop sack, and an ultralight wallet are done. Many more to come. Thanks RBTR!

Woo hoo! Thanks for the review Andy. We're glad you're finding so many projects with the 1.1 Silpoly. We'd love to see your creations, be sure to tag us on social media!
