    Buying a recycled fabric isn't going to save the planet, but it's not a bad place to start either...

    The 2nd generation of our silicone double coated 1.1 oz polyester ripstop (silpoly), now available in ECO friendly, 100% recycled polyester.

    Made from things like plastic bottles and scrap material, this is your chance to choose sustainability with an eco-friendly, green fabric alternative.

    This fabric is coated with a silicone/PU layer on each side and is waterproof/non-breathable.

    In addition to excellent waterproof/windproof characteristics, Silpoly offers lower water absorption and increased UV resistance compared to Silnylon. Particularly useful in outdoor applications to minimize sag/stretch when wet and color fade over time.

    Great for projects such as tarps, tents, ponchos, gear sacks, pack covers, or any application where durable waterproof/windproof fabric is needed.

I've been using ECO silpoly for 2+ years and highly recommend it if you want a lightweight, highly compressible material. Would recommend.

Great Economical Silpoly

Some Silpoly I've used in the past had inconsistencies in its thickness and color. This 1.1 oz ECO Silpoly fabric is very consistent throughout it's structure. It is also very deeply black in color, not dark grey like some other "black" fabric. Ripstop By The Roll cut the fabric neatly and shipped it quickly. First class service all the way around!!

This stuff is tough

A bit slippery to work wih but that just takes getting used to. I roll my seams and in the long run it is worth the extra work.
