I took two 58" SilPoly sections and sewed them together at 8' long. It is a slight bit smaller than an 8x10 tarp. It was pretty simple and will fit over my hammock setup very well. It should be excellent for when I sleep on the ground as well.
1. Hem Outsides. 2. French Seam the ridgeline. 3. Cut triangles for reinforcements. 4. Measure reinforcement guy out positions. Sew them on. 5. Sew on grosgrain loops. 6. Measure 8' line for tieouts. 7. Put up tarp and seam seal.
