Sil/PU (silicone/polyurethane) double coated 1.1 oz ripstop nylon ( silnylon).

This fabric is coated with a sil/ PU layer on each side and is non-breathable. Lightweight and durable with some of the best waterproof/windproof performance on the market.

The silicone coating of this silnylon fabric makes it extremely strong for its weight (the silicone adds to the fabric's tear strength). Our silnylon is highly waterproof, but not breathable. Each side of the silnylon fabric can be exposed to the weather since it's coated on both sides and between the fibers.

Another bonus of silnylon is that its ripstop weave pattern means any small tears in your fabric will not expand or fray. This is done via the small reinforcement grids that are woven into silnylon fabric to prevent rips and runs.

This silnylon is a great fit for projects such as tarps, tents, ponchos, gear sacks, pack covers, or any application where waterproof/windproof fabric is needed.

NOTE - Colors with a reduced price of $4.75 /yd are being phased out of inventory. Once sold out, they will not be restocked.

Awesome fabric

The fabric met my needs. Working on a project that required waterproof and light material. This was perfect.

Thanks Jimmy! We love Silnylon as a choice for a light waterproof material. We are glad you found what you needed with us!

Great Quality!

I received this material in the DIY Pack Cover kit in the color blaze orange, and it was the perfect choice for a pack cover; it’s super lightweight, you don’t even know it’s there until you need it. And since my day pack if fairly small (16L) and RBTR included two micro cord locks, I had a ton of extra material to make a tiny storage bag for it with a cinch closure.

Since it’s a lightweight material it can be sort of slippery and fiddly while sewing, but you get the hang of it after a while! Thank you!
