Great option for shoulder strap and hip belt padding
Thanks for your review Faison! We'd love to see what you're creating, here is a link if you'd like to share https://forms.gle/P4EHrfiWJ5kajdrE8
I have now bought both the 1/8 and 1/4 and they are both top quality fabrics. I have used them for shoulder strap undersides and although the 1/4 inch is far too much for my sewing machine it remains to be a great fabric. I will continue to buy fabrics from RBTR, always very happy with the fabrics, hardware, customer service and distribution. thank you.
Thank you so much Isaac! We're glad we can be your one-stop-shop for all things making your own gear.
If they could figure out a way to make this 4D to include the time dimension, that would be ideal, but in the meantime I'll have to settle for 3D.
This is good stuff. Feels quality. buttery smooth and airy. I use it for straps and back or lumbar areas to add some cush and breathability. I definitely prefer the 1/4" over the 1/8" for the added padding albeit added weight. This stuff isn't light (18 oz/yd^2) and it also ain't cheap (45$/yd), so I use it intentionally and sparingly.
Note that I've tried spacer mesh from other websites and I can definitely tell you to avoid getting anything cheap. The cheap stuff feels cheap and compresses easily. Definitely worth the added cost to get this (Mil-Spec) stuff.
Thanks for the review Devon! We're glad you love this spacer mesh and that it works well for your projects!
Built a backpack using HyperD 300 and the 1/4" spacer mesh. I've had up to 30 pounds in it and it still feels great! Will definitely make straps with this again.
Awesome! Thanks so much for the review Mark. It's good to know your pack still felt nice with 30 lbs in it. We'd love to see photos of your pack, be sure to tag us on social media!
Exactly as described I haven’t had the chance to use it yet, it’s what I was looking for for strap padding
Thanks Jason! We're glad it's just what you needed for your straps. Happy Sewing!
