I love the DIY Kit, it is a great idea to introduce your products. That being said, the three fabrics are different. A small label on each piece to let us know exactly which fabric we are working with would have been very helpful for future order planning.
Paired with the welcome discount at the time, this was a low risk entry into trying these fabrics which then resulted in multiple sales after. If you are curious to work with this type of fabric look no further than
I wanted to make stuff sacks sized exactly right for carrying down vests and jackets for travel. I am a quilter so I am a skilled sewist but have never used nylon or polyester fabrics and thread, and they do sew up differently and need slightly different techniques. The $10 DIY kit was perfect, providing samples of the fabrics I might want to use and allowing me to test out what thread, needles, and techniques to use. I now can order yardage knowing which of the fabrics I prefer and knowing that I will be successful in sewing up what we need
Thanks for your review MK! We're glad that the kit was able to let you play around with fabrics and test different techniques. Let us know if you have any questions about fabrics for future projects, we're always here to help!
I recently purchased the DIY kit and made stuffsacks then the zpp and zpk kits.
Making your own gear is the best feeling! Have fun with all your kits. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to reach out!
