I'm happy with this product. I sleep usually 20 degrees colder than products are rated though my sleeping bags are getting old. I tested it in a RV trailer during the first snow with the windows open. Using it as a top quilt by sandwiching it between 1 oz hyper d, and doubling the insulation up to get 6.6oz total and with basically perfect insulation underneath it, I was comfortable at 27 degrees Fahrenheit with just a hat and underwear on. The way it's made I think it would be lighter for the warmth if you did not double layers as it's denser on the outer edges, but I needed to double to get the weights I wanted.
I was not happy with the packaging. It arrived vacuum sealed in a tiny box for it's size and some of the insulation was caught in the vacuum packaging so that I had to cut the insulation to get it out. I have read that you permanently loose loft by smashing insulation even the first time and I was planning to store it rolled in a large stuff sack never smashed. I would have paid more to have it shipped in a larger box less smashed.
Great down alternative for a lightweight quilt/bag! Seems warm and packs down small.
First time using this product. Applied as a top quilt for an existing sleeping bag. Have not yet tested in the field. Very light weight and easy to sew. Overall, a good product.
Great lightweight insulation! Made an excellent underquilt.
Arrived on schedule in a vacuum sealed package to reduce overall bulk, I ordered three yards and the cut was generous, built a 90" long quilt and I believe I can use the drop to construct a puffy vest or possibly a hooded pullover!
