0.8 oz/yd 2  Dyneeema® Composite Fabric (formerly  Cuben Fiber). DCF  is a patented, ultra-lightweight fabric made of flexible non-woven composite laminates which are reinforced with Dyneema ®  fibers.

This fabric is costly and for good reason. It's 15x strong than steel and provides the highest tear and tensile strength of any competing fabric on a weight-by-weight and thickness basis. Use only for projects that demand high-performance and the absolute best in ultra-lightweight, waterproof fabric.

The 0.8 oz/yd 2 variant of DCF has twice the Dyneema® fiber content of the 0.51  oz/yd 2, which translates into significantly higher tensile and tear strength. Best used for ultralight tarps, tents, flys, and medium to light-duty stuff sacks.

*Spruce Green color listed here is the exact same as the former 0.74 oz Cuben Fiber Spruce Green.

Dyneema® is a trademark of DSM. Use of these trademarks requires approval from DSM.

Felt like family

Now I know that this review should reflect my opinion of the product. This is not the case. The fabric that I purchased was, what it should have been, great quality and all, but what stood out, was the signatures on my invoice. That made my buying experience SO much more personal, and that's what produces repeat customers! Thank y'all for providing affordable, quality fabrics, with great service!

Thanks so much Donald! We appreciate you. We're still a small company and we're glad you can get a sense of all our team's hard work that is put into every order!

Bradley Carson

Lightweight material

suitable for any lighter applications this would be perfect for a tent any types of covers or bags I think something just a little heavier for a backpack

Thanks for your review Derek! 0.8 oz Dyneema is commonly used for tent flys and stuff sacks! If you're wanting to make a pack, we'd recommend something heavier, 2.92 oz or 5.0 oz.
