The 40L Mountain Flyer UL Backpack is a great place to start your DIY ultralight backpack journey. The backpack is light-weight and relatively simple to make. If made correctly, it is extremely durable on the trail.

This build features the classic Mountain Flyer silhouette, shock cord compressible side pockets, Y top strap, hip belt, front and side lash points, front mesh pocket with buckle closure, padded back panel, and whatever else you want to add/remove for your personal needs.

Awesome pattern

The pattern for the backpack was received on a continuous sheet of heavy stock paper with the entire set of pieces nicely printed. It was very long and wide with minimal folds, & was received in a heavy-duty zipper bag. It was fun to lay out and cut out my pieces & it gave me the idea of how this pack would go together. I am very satisfied with the pattern, and it saved me a lot of time and money going to a print place to have it printed in full size. I live in a rural area and hate to drive to larger cities. Thank you RSBTR for offering the full-size pattern.

Looks Great - Excited to build my skills to actually sew this project!

with the opportunity to buy both the pattern and the cutouts at once, i jumped before i feel comfortable with this kind of project, but will be up to the task soon and this removes one hudle--quality printed out patterns!
