I made a 9 x 9 flat tarp with the sil/pu poly fabric. Easy to work with, looks to be very waterproof. Quite pleased.
This is a great material for a tarp, with the PU coating it is very waterproof! We'd love to see photos of your finished tarp, be sure to tag us in photos!
cool fabric, low stretch and surprisingly resistant to pulling forces
This 1.1 oz Silpoly PU4000 is a really awesome fabric, and highly waterproof! We'd love to see photos of your creation, be sure to tag us on social media!
Happy with my purchase
Awesome, thanks Kevin! Happy Sewing!
I was really happy with the products and services of your business. However, it was a big shop and a considerable amount of tax and vat charged by Irish customs. Maybe you put that on your web site but I wouldn't have bought the products if I had realised what I would be liable for. A real pity because I couldn't source the products I wanted in Europe
This was my first diy tarp project. I wanted a tarp that would better cover my hammock and weigh less than my eno tarp. So I started my search on YouTube and like always found more videos than I could ever watch. But the important thing was I found out about Ripstop By The Roll. So I found what I wanted on their website and 3 days later I was using my wife's sewing machine in the living room making a mess as well as a tarp. I was able to get great coverage for the hammock and I lost 10 ounces of weight. I couldn't have been happier. Until my son came by and ask me where I bought my new tarp. Now not only am I happier but I'm very proud of the job I've done making my newest piece of light weight gear. Thank you Ripstop By The Roll for being there for folks like myself. And of course the folks that actually know what they are doing.
Thanks so much for the review Will! We're glad your searches in making your own gear lead you to us and that we could help shave 10 oz off the tarp. Let us know how we can help with any future projects. Enjoy!
