1.0 oz/yd 2 Dyneema® Composite Fabric (formerly Cuben Fiber). DCF is a patented, ultra-lightweight fabric made of flexible non-woven composite laminate which are reinforced with Dyneema® fibers.

This fabric is costly and for good reason - it's 15x stronger than steel and provides the highest tear and tensile strength of any competing fabric on a weight-by-weight and thickness basis.

Use only for projects or products that demand high-performance and the absolute best in ultra-lightweight, waterproof fabric.

The 1.0 oz/yd 2 variant of DCF has twice the Dyneema® fiber content and a thicker mylar layer compared to the 0.8 oz/yd 2. This makes it both stronger in tensile/tear strength and more abrasion/puncture resistant.

Great for stronger, more robust tarps/tents/shelter walls and floors, reinforcement areas, rain gear, and medium duty stuff sacks.

Sold by the Half Yard. For example, enter a quantity of "4" to receive two linear yards of material, measuring two yards (72") in length by the listed width of the material (check specs tab).

    NEW COLORS

Nice shade of purple

I used this to make part of an ultralight backpack. It's a nice shade of purple.

Thanks Diane! We are very proud of our in-house custom printed DCF. The purple is especially great! We would love to see your backpack if you are willing to share with us on Instagram.

Great material

I decided to try my hand at making my own pack. I haven’t sewn since home economics in jr. high. I spent a lot of time trying to decide what material to use. I knew I wanted Dyneema. I bought the 1.0 oz version. This stuff is not bad to work with. I couldn’t believe I was having such good luck with it. I am still working on the pack but I will have it ready for a trip to the Rockies in June.
The price is high and is probably not a great first timer material because of that but I did it and so far things are going better than I ever thought. Also. Ripstop by the roll has excellent customer service and their shipping is faster than other online myog material sales site. I already have plans for more myog.

Hey Mike! We love inspiring new MYOGers to start sewing their own gear so we are so glad you are trying your hand at it! We are glad your project is going well and we would love to see it if you could share it with us on Instagram. Thanks for the great review we hope we can continue to serve you in the future!
