Ultralight comfort. Unexpected durability. Built to be worn hard.
3.3 oz Venom™ Jersey Knit is not your average ultralight wicking fabric.
Blending 90% moisture-wicking polyester with 10% Venom™ (UHMWPE), this ultralight knit delivers the comfort and breathability of a performance baselayer while lasting far longer than traditional UL apparel fabrics.
Originally developed and proven by NW Alpine, this fabric earned its reputation in the field. Paired with our decade of technical printing knowledge, the result is a best-in-class jersey knit that’s trusted by demanding athletes and now available to makers who want exciting colors in their performance wear.
Why Venom™ Jersey Knit?
- Built to Last: UHMWPE fibers dramatically improve abrasion, tear, and cut resistance without adding weight.
- Proven Performance: Field-tested for years by NW Alpine as a baselayer and outerwear layer
- Exclusive Colors: Custom stock colors you won’t find anywhere else—plus custom printing available for B2B.
- One of a Kind: This is the first time this material has ever been accessible by the yard to the public — only available here at RBTR.
Ideal Uses
T-shirts, base layers, hoodies, boxers, and performance apparel where moisture management, comfort, and durability matter.

I was stoked to order this fabric. I tried to not to be disappointed that it didn’t match as well as I would have liked to the Airwave 4-way stretch slate. I struggled to find a fabric that matched and also from the same vendor. I tried hard to find a company that sold the most products that I needed on one site. The fabric is pretty and soft. I found it difficult to sew even with a ballpoint needle and the recommended thread. My machine got some fixing done and even after the adjustments, it was a struggle. I needed the fabric with power mesh and the zigzag stitch seemed to tighten along the line of stitching. Straight stitch works great. My hope is the fabric would respond better with a serger that I hope to get someday. The fabric is so light that it is sea through and I see the elastic in the waistband of the garment I made. I think this fabric would be great for t-shirts and use with a serger. I don’t have high hopes of it holding up as a waistband for the Cascadia Joggers I just finished. The machine I have is a Singer Heavy Duty and I used a walking foot.
