    1.6 oz HyperD XL is the widebody version of our original HyperD TM line of diamond grid lightweight nylon.

    Custom woven to a non-standard width of 76", HyperD XL is over a foot wider than most fabrics on the market today.

    Designed for superior performance and feel, HyperD is incredibly strong yet still very soft to the touch.

    At 1.6 oz, this fabric also fills the void between 1.9 oz and 1.1 oz weights when you're looking for something lighter while retaining maximum strength/durability.

    1.6 oz HyperD XL is great for widebody hammocks, chairs, lightweight bags, or any project where wide, premium fabric is needed.

    Please note that color matching between standard 1.6 oz HyperD and wide 1.6 oz HyperD XL is approximate, but not exact.

super comfy

I'm 6'2" and 250lbs, I made a 11.5' long hammock from this and it is super comfy, I like a softer bed or sleeping pad, and this allows for a bit of stretch and that makes all the difference. It is wicked slick though, so moving around in it is pretty tough, as you have no grip on the fabric.

Hey Daniel! Thanks for your review, we're glad it worked well for your hammock setup. The 1.6 HyperD does have a silky hand-feel with low friction. 2.2 oz Hex70 XL is another good choice, but has less stretch and more of a firm feel.

XL ripstop is perfect

I’ve used this ripstop (different styles) but always XL for my projects. It is durable and the coloring is high quality. One of my projects has had daily use for 2.5 years and shows no sign of wear and tear.

Great Hammock fabric

Just finished my first hammock with the 1.6 HyperD. Seems to be the same fabric but wider. Will start on a wider hammock prototype soon. What stands out to me most about this fabric is the feel and the balanced stretch the material has. The colors are nice too. Highly recommend. Can't wait to see how the XL turns out.

Super pleasant to the touch, aesthetic material

I am very satisfied with this material used for the Rozum techwear project. It's good in processing, it's been long tested in our prototypes and will be used in the future. Thanks! Unfortunately, there is no way to attach photos to convey the beauty of this nylon
