1680D Ballistic nylon is a super tough basket-weave synthetic and one of the most durable fabrics we offer.

This is a rugged, highly abrasion resistant fabric that can handle a beating. Great for reinforcing high-wear areas or creating bomb-proof gear that can take anything you throw at it.

Typical applications include work wear, backpacks, briefcases, luggage, chairs, elevated pet beds, horse blankets, and a variety of custom cases and covers.

Great material

I made some bike bags with this and it is really nice material to work with. For those of you with questions about machines like I had, it sews easily on my Janone HD3000. Two layers of this with webbing was not an issue. As for durability, it beads water nicely and has a slight sheen to it that I like more than cordura aesthetically, though you can only get this in black. Overall, it's strong and has held up to rain and some scrapes without issue.
