Love this fabric for hammocks. For me the 1.6 hyper D XL has the right balance of Stretch, but still a little firm. I have made 2 hammocks out of it and love it.
How easy can you get. 3 yards of HyperD XL no cutting just roll & sew your seams. Check out the videos on how to do this.
I made a 10ft gathered end hammock for a friend's retirement to get him started in hammock camping. The Moroccan Blue is an awesome color. Fabric is easy to sew on my 1953 Singer. Used the Gutterman MARA 70 Moroccan Blue thread with a microtex needle.
Great service, swift delivery.
I found the 1.6 easy to work with. It's certainly sturdy material and doesn't seem to snag or stretch when you don't want it to.
My friend seemed so busy with all his kids and moving into his new house that, I thought surely, his 6'6" self would appreciate frequent breaks in a hammock. So I made an 11.5ft xl width hammock for him. And he does appreciate it! No surprise there right?
It's strong, takes his weight, and is an ideal width for his height.
Ripstopbytheroll hitting the mark once again.
It is really strong if you pull it, but it has no resistance to friction. After only a few days of wearing, the diamond on my sleeves jackets started to break. I almost went through the fabric around my backpack strap after only 2 days of hiking.
