  • If you've never built a zippered pouch before, or if you just need a refresher, watch this video first. Many thanks to Devin at Backcountry Exposure for this fantastic instructional video!

IMPORTANT - Please pay special attention to orientation of the Uretek coil zipper. A common mistake when constructing the ZPP is to flip the zipper the wrong way out.

The video above details the correct orientation with teeth  FACE DOWN when attaching coil to fabric. This will ensure the water-resistant, coated side of the Uretek zipper ends up on the outside of your ZPP.

Great introduction to MYOG

This was very straightforward to make for a new sewer. I had fun making it and it’s been a great bag!

We love to hear that! Thanks for your review David enjoy the wild world of MYOG- it's addicting!

Great bag!

The video linked is terrible, find the one with the guy making a black bag with the white outline and make sure that you position the zipper so that there will be no white edging visible when it is finished. I still like mine and it is super durable and a good shape for my pack.

Hey Matt, we're sorry the video wasn't helpful for you! We are working on redoing our instructions and videos so we will make sure to mention these tips. Let us know if you have any questions about future projects, we're here to help!

Christmas gifts!

Had a great time sewing up these kits for Christmas gifts! The delivery was a bit slower due to the Black Friday rush… But I was able to get them done and out in time. They were a HUGE hit!!

Thanks so much for the review and your patience while your package got delivered to you. The ZPP Kits make great gifts, we're glad they were a hit!

Fun, easy beginner project

This was my second build-your-own-gear project. I just got a sewing machine, and wanted to make something I'd use as well as check out the dyneema fabric. With some help from youtube videos, I got it all put together in not too long, and it looks good. The only gotcha was that my fabric came with a border, and I initially tried to cut it off. I eventually figured out that the border would be hidden with the correct edge folding.

Thanks so much Jud! We are glad your second DIY project turned out well and that the kit was easy to sew. Let us know if you have any questions about creating future projects, we're here to help!

Great Kits!

Everything is perfectly cut and ready to go. And there are plenty of how-to videos on Youtube to explain how to complete the project.
