Quickly add/remove the HBP to your existing pack by threading through the elastic loops on the backside of the pouch (see pic to left).

Kit comes with all the pre-packaged components you'll need to make one finished Hip Belt Pouch with no wasted materials. We've even laser cut the fabric to size, so you can open the box and start sewing right away. Kit includes:

If you've never built a zippered pouch before, or if you just need a refresher, watch this video first. Many thanks to PapaSmurf at Dream Hammock for putting this DIY video together!

IMPORTANT - The Hip Belt Pouch Kit uses water resistant Uretek zipper instead of standard coil. As such, the teeth should be FACE DOWN when attaching coil to fabric (video uses standard coil and calls for teeth to be face up). This will ensure the water-resistant, coated side of the Uretek zipper ends up on the outside of your Hip Belt Pouch.

Good product, good service

I got what I ordered and got it quickly. Thanks.

Hi Don, We hope you enjoy the Dyneema kits!
An amazing set of materials for anyone looking to start making their own gear

I bought the DIY pack, the pillow and two zipper pouches. After a weekend I learned the basics of sewing and had several pouches, stuff sacks and a Bear bag setup.

The only complaint I have is that the instructions are a little difficult to follow and sometimes incomplete (see the pillow stuff sack, it actually has a “tbd” on the last page). But a little googling and YouTubing, and you find the answers easily enough.

Thanks again! I’m already planning my next few projects.

Excellent materials but questionable instructions

A+ materials, really happy with the Dyneema. The Uretek water resistant zipper is a nice touch. However, the instructions were pretty confusing. Ultimately, I just winged it based upon previous sewing experience, and in the end was able to create the final product.

Nice little kit all in one package.

I bought two of these for a backpack I'm making. Dove in and started with the hip belt pouches ( warm up with the easy stuff). This fabric is great to work with. Easy to sew. Plus having it precut to size makes it so simple to figure out.The instructions have to much math in them, so I kind of winged it on the measurements. Having made zippered pouches before made it easy to do. If you haven't yet, defiantly watch the video from Papa Smurf. It makes it a snap. I was able to bang out 2 pouches in less than 20 minutes.

Thanks for the comments Kevin! Hip belt pouches are a functional, but easy-to-make accessory. Glad you were happy with the kit!
