Customer Project: Water Resistant Biking Phone Pouch

• Wanted to make a small bag to replace the Ziploc bags used for storing my phone and wallet during cycling rides.   This pouch is made with waterproof fabric and is pretty water resistant.   Tested the major seams in the sink for several minutes and kept the inside dry.   Using the French seams and the waterproof material worked very well.    Velcro closure rolls over on itself to minimize any water coming in through the Velcro.   
• I created the fabric sizes and showed the general steps for creating the pouch in Sketchup.   French seams is the key for the sides to make clean, finished edges.    If a slightly different size is needed, use the dimensions shown and adjust the "green" sections to fit your particular needs.    I had done an earlier version that was a little too small and just added 1/2" to the width as shown here and worked well for an iPhone XR.

  Used leftover material from my recent backpack project - 2.2 oz Hex70 XL PU300/DWR - Racing Red
  Thread - Gutermann MARA 70 Thread - Crimson
  Velcro - 1/2" wide Velcro
