This is an all purpose quilt I stitched up for multiple uses. I expect to use it as a top quilt to sleep with, as well as a wrap while glassing for wildlife or just to cut the chill while hanging out. Finished size is 54" wide by 103" long, very nice for me being 6'8" tall.
I decided to stitch the inner cover, outer cover, and APEX insulation together all at one time. Using plenty of pins to hold everything together, it went very well. I also stitched tabs of grosgrain around the perimeter for "collection points" with elastic cord.
Required Materials:
3 yds of .74 MTN 7D ripstop nylon 3 yds of .66 membrane10 taffeta nylon 3 yds of Climashield APEX 5 oz. synthetic insulation 2 yds of 1" grosgrain
