I had been wanting to try x-pac for a while. Finally bought some to make some new bike bags with. This stuff is too cool. Seems to be pretty durable and light and waterproof. Just what I needed. Made a couple of handlebar bags and now I’m getting requests from friends to make them some. 🤣
This fabric is awesome. For how thin and lightweight it is it's incredibly tough. My only real complaint comes from the shipping method I mistakenly chose. I had mine cut and folded to save a few bucks and it was jammed in a poly mailer with all my other material and hardware. I mean it was literally stuffed as full as you could possibly get it. None of the other material was affected, but there are permanent creases in the 2 seperate yards of X-Pac VX07 I received. I don't feel like it damaged the integrity of the material, but it's definitely a cosmetic flaw now. I would highly recommend spending the extra money to have this (and any X-Pac) material rolled instead of folded.
Day 27: In my deepest despair, I am going out of my mind. I need to escape. Alas my gear is not equally up to the challenge. Thankfully, my go-to site for
outdoor fabric and materials is still shipping. X-Pac VX07, that's what I need. This stuff is extremely durable, and easy to work with. My pack and other accessories will be able to withstand a nuclear blast, or at least a tumble down the hill when my kid trips me. My pack was thrashed, I was bruised, but alas that was all but a distant summer memory. When the quarantine ends I will be prepared.
Easy to work with. Can’t wait for a restock!
