Four years ago, we introduced MEMBRANE 10 nylon taffeta as our lightest, softest, and most downprooffabric ever.
Since then, we've searched the globe for a 10 denier ripstop to match. A fabric that could offer the same performance and buttery soft hand feel with maximum durability.
And finally... we got it.
Introducing MEMBRANE 10 ripstop nylon. At 0.75 oz/yd 2, M10 RS sits in between typical 10D and 15D finished fabric weights, and with good reason.
Instead of a "barely there" ripstop or compromising on downproofness, M10 RS uses a significantly thicker ripstop grid and super high thread count, tight weave construction.
The result is a more durable ultralight fabric and exceptional downproofing (see IDFL results HERE). With a CFM (i.e. air permeability) of 4.4, it is also highly wind resistant for its weight.
Lastly, as part of our larger green fabric initiative, M10 RS uses a more ECO friendly, C6 DWR (Durable Water Repellant). MEMBRANE 10 Ripstop Nylon is a premium choice, ultralight material for applications such as quilts, blankets, jackets, sleeping bags, garments, and linings.
NOTE - colors for M10 RS are matched very closely to colors of the same name in M10 taffeta.
