    Fully. Woven. UHMWPE.

This material was built to be the ultimate pack fabric.

Unlike almost all the market options to date, 3.9 oz Venom™ is made from fully woven, 100% UHMWPE yarn.

    What does that mean?

Well, compared to similar weight nylon/polyester or even some technical fabrics like X-PAC and Dyneema Composite, it has:

    • Extremely high tear and tensile strength
    • Maximal cut, abrasion, and wear resistance

In other words, this stuff is insanely tough to tear, really hard to cut, and durable as hell.

At 3.9 oz per square yard, it's lightweight, but will outperform materials that weigh twice as much (or more).

Lastly, we've coated both sides with a thick, specially formulated TPU (Thermoplastic Polyurethane) that yields a waterproof rating of over 3000 mm and allows taping.

This material is very expensive, but all with great reason.

If you've got a high-end application that requires a fabric to match, this fabric will NOT disappoint.

Typical applications include backpacks, bike bags, duffle bags, wallets, pouches, reinforcement areas, etc.

Sold by the Half Yard. For example, enter a quantity of "4" to receive two linear yards of material, measuring two yards (72") in length by the listed width of the material (check specs tab).

IMPORTANT - Due to the unique weaving process of this fabric, you may notice small, minor cosmetic lines very sporadically throughout the material. This is completely functional and normal.

Great stuff.

I used it for the bottom of a backpack I made. Held up well on my 1st trip with the bag. Easy to sew, but not to cut. Scissors & rotary cutter do not work well. I found a new razor blade worked best for me.

Thanks for your review Wesley! If you are having trouble cutting this fabric, look into a hot knife, they will change your cutting game!

Cool fabric

Very interesting new fabric. Sews extremely easily. Cursory tests show extremely good abrasion resistance. Made a duffle and several zip wallets out of it. Dyneema fibers are white under black coating, so they will likely show as items wear. Some fabric pulling can occur at seams as fibers are slick, so you may have to adjust technique and allowances accordingly. Appears waterproof for now with an interesting technical appearance to the fabric. Holds wrinkles easily. Long term durability TBD, may have a propensity to form pinholes similar to other dyneema weaves.

Thank you for your thoughtful and detailed review Jeffrey! We love hearing our customers experiences with the fabrics. Let us know how it holds up over time after you do some field testing, we'd love to see! Let us know if you have questions about future projects, we're here to help!

Great strong material. Does wrinkle pretty heavy would like to know how to clean it up.

Thanks for your review, David! Unfortunately, this fabric does wrinkle and should relax over time and with use, but there is no way to eliminate them entirely. Let us know if you have any other questions about the fabric, we're always here to help!
