The Clover Bodkins Pack are a part of our growing collection of sewing notions used to help you complete a variety of apparel projects.
One of the most useful and timesaving sewing notions is the bodkin. A bodkin allows you to easily feed or thread narrow goods into a drawstring channel, eyelet, waistband or really anywhere you need to feed cordage. You might have seen someone use a safety pin or just try to force drawstring into their stuffsack channel... this is much better.
Many may not start their MYOG journey with one because it can be an overlooked tool, which can lead to unnecessary headache while you are already learning to follow a pattern, sew or design something new. Included are two types of bodkins for different applications:
- Binding-Type Bodkin: For wider narrow goods like webbing, grosgrain or woven elastics. Release the ring and bind your elastic/webbing. Tighten by moving the ring towards the indicated direction. Feed through opening of your project.
- Head-Type Bodkin: For smaller narrow goods like cordage, shock cord etc. The ideal for use in stuff sacks or drawstrings. Includes built-in flex for tighter curves. Put your cordage through the small eyelet and pull slight tension to lock in place. Feed through opening of your project.
