Challenge® DTRS75 is a 50D woven polyester with a triple ripstop laminated to 0.75 mil 100% recycled film.

Like most laminates, this fabric has a stiff structure, which makes it very easy to sew.

It's also 100% waterproof, tapeable, strong, and relatively lightweight. Not as light or strong/durable as alternative fabrics like  1.43 oz Dyneema® Composite Fabric, but also significantly less expensive.

Popular uses include waterproof food/bear bags, zipper pouches, travel bags, pack liners, ground sheets, etc.

DTRS75 is a laminate fabric comprised of the following layers:

    - 50D triple ripstop polyester face

    - 0.75 mil Challenge RUV recycled film

Sold by the HALF YARD. For example, enter a quantity of "4" to receive 2 linear yards of fabric.

DTRS75

Great ultralight fabric. Sews easily, holds a crease. I'd reinforce any stress points as the fabric is so light. Also, I wouldn't plan on extended use or abuse for the same reason. I have used it along with other lightweight fabrics to make backcountry toiletry kits. Have also made shoulder/waist bags - I reinforced the zipper and seams with Challenge tape. Overall it's a great lightweight fabric and should serve you well, you just have to be aware of the limits of the fabric.

Thanks for your review and helpful tips for working with this fabric! It's great to hear about all the things you were able to make with the Challenge DTRS75!

Crunchy loud

This is a really great, lightweight and strong material I made a couple dry bags with. The only thing is it is pretty loud when you touch it. It's almost like trying to pack a potato chip bag into your pack. Waiting to see if the crunch sound will lessen over time. Otherwise, really great material.

The sound of the fabric should definitely lessen over time. It is a bit plastic-y and a stiffer fabric but also should get a little softer with use. Still a great material for dry bags and bear bags, enjoy!
