Buy this stick

Yes, this replaces a stick. But it's a really great stick that won't break, slip off, or catch fire (yikes, bears with matches!) and it makes hanging a bear bag about as simple as it gets.

Needs modification on future models

I found that if you run your line through both holes it creates to much friction to push it up a line under load with one hand. Once I reconfigured it to have my line running through only one hole it works great. As with any Bear line system it takes a little practice to get your coordination right. Once the line was run through one hole and I practiced it worked great. I would suggest eliminating one of the holes on future models. I use Zing It/Lash It for my bear line. I will be buying another for my son’s bear kit and recommending it to others.
