Challenge DTRS75

This is a great fabric for things like packing cubes. It's lightweight, has some structure and is waterproof. I used it to make a combination roll-top sleeping bag pod and summit pack. Using lightweight hardware the total weight was less than 3 oz. The fabrics opaqueness would make it good for something like a ditty bag as well. Do be careful as you will see any pen marks made to aid with construction. The fabric has a plastic feel but held stitches well and can be seam taped. The biggest downside is that it makes a crinkling sound. This will likely become quieter as it gets more use. Overall, it's a bargain for ultralight uses.

Great ultralight fabric. Sews easily, holds a crease. I'd reinforce any stress points as the fabric is so light. Also, I wouldn't plan on extended use or abuse for the same reason. I have used it along with other lightweight fabrics to make backcountry toiletry kits. Have also made shoulder/waist bags - I reinforced the zipper and seams with Challenge tape. Overall it's a great lightweight fabric and should serve you well, you just have to be aware of the limits of the fabric.

This is a really great, lightweight and strong material I made a couple dry bags with. The only thing is it is pretty loud when you touch it. It's almost like trying to pack a potato chip bag into your pack. Waiting to see if the crunch sound will lessen over time. Otherwise, really great material.
