Looking for a lightweight tarp and the challenge of making a tarp myself the RBTR pre-cut tarp was perfect. The finished weight came in at just over 10 oz.
1. I stitched the ridgeline seam with a flat felled seam. 2. I cut the pre-cut reinforcement pieces to match the shape of the 4 tie-out locations and 2 ridgeline ends. 3. Using Gear Aid Seam Grip SIL I adhered the 6 reinforcements to the wrong side of the tarp and allowed them to set for 24 hours. 4. I stitched one line of stitching along the arc of each reinforcement piece. 5. I hemmed the perimeter of the tarp with a rolled hem. 6. I attached the rings using gross grain ribbon to the wrong side of each of the reinforcements. 7. Using Gear Aid Seam Grip SIL I sealed the wrong side of ridgeline seam.
