This is a lightweight top quilt to be used when staying in Albergues while walking the Camino De Santiago. I am 5 feet 5 inches tall and wanted a quilt that could be used flat or attached around me.
Spread insulation smoothly out on floor. With right side up, spread interior ripstop over insulation. With right side down, spread exterior over interior ripstop. Cut 5 in strips of ribbon, fold in half and attach Kamsnaps near folded end. Make shock cord casings by 4-5 inch cutting strips the width of the bag. Fold in half lengthwise to form casings, hem ends and baste raw edges wrong sides together,
Use wonder clips to attach the following between the layers of ripstop:
Place the zipper pieces at each side of the bottom of the bag Place snap strips evenly spaced between the top of the zipper and the top of the bag. Place the cord casings, folded side inward at top and bottom of bag. Very carefully clip the remainder of the bag together all the way around. Slowly and carefully stitch all the way around the multilayer quilt, leaving an opening between 2 of the snap tabs for turning. Turn right side out and stitch opening closed.
