I wanted a simple and light weight bug bivy for camping in the Summer. It has a ton of airflow and a waterproof 2" tub. I use this along with a tarp and it stays dry in the rain.
Cut out a 7' by 35" rectangle. Allow the corners to fold up however deep you want the tub to be. I really went for maximum airflow, so my tub was 2 inches deep. Sew the corners shut and cut the tag. Cut out a 7' by 57" rectangle for the bug net, and 27"x27"x31" triangles for the ends. Make 4 reinforcement triangles for the corners with gutted paracord for tie-outs. Sew an attachment loop at the top of each triangle.
