I've recently gotten into hammock camping. I bought a really nice and fancy one, but being a bit of a gear freak I inevitably wanted more. I also like to make things which is why I decided to go down the DIY path for my next hammock. This was the first time I've touched a sewing machine since arts and crafts in fifth grade. (I made the ugliest fleece sweater you've ever seen.) I've sewn other things, including a hammock, before but they've all involved heavy canvas and hand stitching. Because of all that I decided to start with a netless single layer 11ft hammock made from relatively inexpensive 1.9 RipStop Nylon.
Required Materials:
4 yards of Royal Blue 1.9 RipStop Nylon 2 ft of black 7/64 Amsteel 1 ft of white 550 Paracord Gutermann TERA 80 thread
