If you want burly, strong, and durable, you’ve come to the right place. Our 420 DDouble-Grid Ripstop Nylon was built for the long-haul and is one of the toughest materials we currently offer.

Built from a proprietary high-tenacity nylon 6 base yarn, this fabric has one of the best tensile and tear strengths in any 420D ripstop we've tested. Said another way, it's  hard to break and tough to rip.

We’ve also added a special UV protective coating to the face side of the fabric. This extra step protects against sun exposure which can cause color fading and material degradation over time.

This material is excellent for backpacks, gear reinforcements, heavy-duty sacks/bags, or any project requiring a tough, durable, and waterproof fabric.

*This fabric is  sold in 1/2 yd increments to help reduce cost for smaller projects. Please enter a whole number of half yards in the box up top. For example, if you want 7 yds total, enter "14" in the half yard box.

Best product best service

I appreciate the quality of the fabrics, and will definitely be back to purchase more. Using the no see mesh to make custom screening in Earthbag house windows! Durable, bug proof and truly no see ‘em! Made a hammock with this 420D

Thanks Kelly! That sounds like a very interesting project! We'd love to see some pictures, here is a link if you'd like to share any https://forms.gle/P4EHrfiWJ5kajdrE8

My Own ZPP Kit

I used this fabric to make my own ZPP kit. I wanted a fabric with some structure that didn’t have that waterproof slippery feel. This is certainly it. It was easy to sew and I paired it with a standard #3 YKK zipper. I am very happy with the finished product.

Great stuff! It’s nice and soft for shoulder straps. I like that the DWR coating is Not sticky, witch makes sewing it very nice

Awesome Fabric. Great strength while still maintaining a lighter weight.

I used this for straps and pockets on my 60 litter UL pack. I really like the how the fabric sewed and how strong it is. We will see how the fabric stands up to the week long hike I am doing on the AT. I'll update after that.
