0.34 oz/yd 2  Dyneeema® Composite Fabric (formerly Cuben Fiber). DCF is a patented, ultra-lightweight fabric made of flexible non-woven composite laminates which are reinforced with Dyneema ®  fibers.

This fabric is costly and for good reason. It's   15x stronger than steel  and provides the   highest tear and tensile strength  of any competing fabric on a weight-by-weight and thickness basis. Use only for projects that demand high-performance and the absolute best in ultra-lightweight, waterproof fabric.

The 0.34 oz/yd 2 variant of DCF is best for super ultralight tarps, tents, flys, and light duty stuff sacks. Note that this variant is the lightest, least abrasion resistant DCF variant on the market. Extra care is needed to ensure longer life of your project or product.

.34 is cool

Yooooo so far I have worked with the .34, the .5 and the 1.0 dyneema and the .34 is the most space like of the fabrics so far haha. TBH its very light and not as forgiving as the heavier weights. It totally can work for some things but be careful putting to much stress on seams as I was having some issues on any seam that wasn't also tape'd up.

Hi Iain, Thanks for the review! Yes, the 0.34 make some trades to get so light.

Very quick delivery. Plan to make an emergency tarp for day hiking, expect less than 3 oz with Polycro ground sheet. May order more yardage before starting the project.

Hi Fred, Thanks for the review. Good luck with your project!

Amazing stuff!

Not to sound like a total geek, but this stuff is really exciting. It feels like the first major jump in the last decade. I made a series of stuff sacks just to see what it’s like to work with and use and I’m really impressed. It’s hard to believe Big Agnes made tent flys from this stuff but cheers to pushing boundaries! I plan on making many more projects using this amazingly thin but strong material.
