Double sided tape ftw. Otherwise this fabric is magic and you will end up with extra inch's as you go

Made rainpants. Indeed very breathable fabric and comfortable to wear, no stretch but light and soft enough to follow all moves. I used PU tape to tape the seams, worked well is and much cheaper then DCF tape. A 70/10 needle could not make it through the fabric, a 80/12 needle worked fine.
Thanks so much for your review Marieke! Rain pants are an awesome project for this fabric. We'd love to see photos of your creation! Be sure to tag us on social media!
I purchased the 1.4 oz 10D material to make a raincoat with a hood. I made the jacket large enough to wear a jacket underneath. Sewing this material was a little challenging until I put craft paper under the material to pull it through the machine. After that it worked like a charm. I used an iron on tape to seal the seams, which worked great as well. The jacket kept me dry while backpacking through very foggy, rainy conditions at 35 degrees. The only reason I gave it 4 stars was because of some puckering on the inside of the jacket in very wet conditions. It may have been due to the cold temperatures. But, overall the material held up well to two full days of wear with shoulder straps rubbing the material.
Hey Phil! Thanks for your review. We are glad the 1.4 oz 10D worked well for your jacket, even in cold conditions. The tread definitely makes a difference especially in rainy conditions. We recommend a 100% polyester thread since it has more resistance to moisture. Let us know if you have any questions about future projects, we're here to help!
This fabric was just what I needed to make over mitts for cold, wet running.
