I used this fabric to make a down sleeping bag for my dog when we backpack. It worked it great. I’ve already had to wash it and it’s held up well. The company took forever to ship it to me. But other than that high quality.
I used this for a down quilt. It's light, feels great, sews nicely, and seems durable. It's not the easiest to cut, though so use a fresh cutting wheel or hot knife.
Perfect! Made two awesome hammocks.
Another great transaction. This time built double layer hammock with bug net and suspension. Two whoopie slings, ucr ridge line and soft shackles. Great place to get material.
Very fine product indeed. I've made 2 hammocks from this material. A single layer and a double layer. Myself at 155lb, I love how I sink into the superlight single layer and enjoy the instant heat return from my underquilt. As pocket size as an 11ft hammock can be.
The double layer holds that tiny bit firmer but is so soft to the touch, it seems to give a silkier overall feel with the added support of the second layer.
Perhaps more prone to minor snagging certainly than the tougher 1.6, (but certainly much tougher feeling than another well known equivalent on the market elsewhere), but after several months use, none of the snags are anything more than tiny superficial flaws. (And I'm the the softest touch with things).
Lighter and with noticeably more give than the 1.6, soft to the touch, super light, super smooth, but tougher than you may expect from the compromise you take with ultralight options. Absolute luxury. I love it.
