Not what I was looking for...

I was looking for durable mesh fabric for the outside of a backpacking backpack. This mesh is very soft to the touch and does not seem durable. It feels like something that would be used for clothes or sports... maybe making a mesh bag for balls. I'll continue to look for something more durable for my backpack.

It's soft feel, likely stretch, perfect as advertised.

Nice but thin

If you're buying this for say exterior pockets for a backpack don't, it's pretty thin and doesn't hold up too well. If you're getting it to make say shoulder pockets or maybe water bottle holders it will work well.

Hey Todd. Our mesh is definitely an UL fabric. Because of that, it needs to be treated with general care, but it has been used for all kinds of backpack mesh pockets with no incident. We are looking to expand our pack mesh offerings in the future. Thanks a bunch for your review!
Good mesh for the weight, only not very elasticity.

This is a good mesh but it barely stretches around a filled.
I’ve found lighter mesh that stretches more so it’s not like it can’t be done.
It will work best if you’re using this in conjunction with articulated fabric on a pocket.
It’s not that great by itself.

Thanks for the review and feedback Aaron! We'll be bringing on a variety of different meshes in the next few months. A 4-way stretch will definitely be one of those. As noted in the product description, this particular mesh has no elastic content. Let us know if you have any ideas on what you'd like to see come down the line. We love ideas and suggestions from the community!
For gentle use only

Used this mesh for pockets on my 7 year old's backpack. The umbrella poked a hole in the pocket on the first day. I'd recommend a sturdier mesh for hardy backpacking use, but it is lightweight and easy to use for an adult willing to be gentle with it!

Hi Malia, Sorry for any trouble you experienced with the 1.7 oz Pocket Mesh. As stated in the product description, this is one of the lightest pocket mesh options on the market, so there will be a trade on durability and this product is not the best fit for every application. We will be bringing on heavier mesh products in the future for this purpose. If you have any questions about applicability of a certain fabric/mesh going forward, please let us know before placing an order and we'll be happy to offer guidance. Thanks!
