At a finished weight of 1.7 oz/yd2, we designed this tricot knit pocket mesh to be one of the lightest on the market, yet still fairly durable.
100% polyester knit with some give in both directions, but not a ton as there is no elastic/lycra content.
Perfect for ultralight backpack pockets, clothing (jackets/pants/etc) pockets, gear bags, or any application requiring a lightweight, semi-rigid, breathable mesh.
*Note that this mesh is sold in 1/2 yd increments to help reduce cost for smaller projects. Please enter a whole number of half yards in the box up top. For example, if you want 7 yds total, enter "14" in the half yard box.

One of the fabrics was stuffed than anticipated but the fabric is also not necessarily intended for making jackets. The end result was still awesome!
If you're buying this for say exterior pockets for a backpack don't, it's pretty thin and doesn't hold up too well. If you're getting it to make say shoulder pockets or maybe water bottle holders it will work well.
This is a good mesh but it barely stretches around a filled.
I’ve found lighter mesh that stretches more so it’s not like it can’t be done.
It will work best if you’re using this in conjunction with articulated fabric on a pocket.
It’s not that great by itself.
Used this mesh for pockets on my 7 year old's backpack. The umbrella poked a hole in the pocket on the first day. I'd recommend a sturdier mesh for hardy backpacking use, but it is lightweight and easy to use for an adult willing to be gentle with it!
