This is my second Winter tarp project. The first one I had to cut the pieces myself than to paint all the walls that I ruined :)
I highly recommend to buy the precut kit save a lot of time.

I like it. A lot

First off, let me say that RSBTR is awesome. They've been getting alot of my money lately. I'm hooked. I cant wait to go backpacking using the pack I made, and sleep under my winter12 tarp in my self made apex climashield sleeping bag.

Starting off its kind of confusing. I had to download the pdf instructions. The silnylon was stuck together where it was laser cut. I had to peel it apart.the fabric seemed ok though. Take your time sewing the ridgeline. It is not possible to guide it evenly by hand. I pinned the seam and hand stitched a little tack stitch every 6 inches or so and then removed the pins. This made it easy to sew straight through.

I actually bought this for a ground tarp with a bug mesh tent inside, not a hammock. Its too tall to pitch with regular trekking poles and still have the doors line up. So I'll have to use trees or put 6" jackpole extensions on my trekking poles.

My 1.1oz silnylon tarp weighs 1lb 10 oz with 3mm paraccord guy lined
