My kids are heading to Seabase this year and I made them mesh hammocks to help with the heat. The material was easy to sew and feels nice!
That is an awesome project for the kids! They will definitely sleep much cooler in the MONOLITE hammocks. Good luck to them at Seabase, sounds really fun!
I love this fabric. It is see-through as a mesh, light, but very strong. There are many vibrant colors. I made some traveling bags for garment. I made pockets for many bags. I also used it as a lining of a hat to make it cooler. I am going to make some produce bags soon.
Ami, those all sound like awesome projects! MONOLITE is one of our favorite fabrics because of its versatility. We're glad you found so many uses for it. Happy making!
1.0 oz MONOLITE is strong, great for a hammock, and very easy to work with. And Ripstop by the Roll is a fabulous company to do business with. Thanks for your quick response!
Thanks so much Peter! MONOLITE is one of our favorites for hammock material and we're glad you also love it! We'd love to see your finished hammock, be sure to tag us on social media.
I previously used this for a front-pack (map, snacks, spare gloves, etc.) I do not want to trap sweat next to my body. Works good in hot weather. I do not do a lot of winter camping but when I do it will be hold gloves next to my body that am trying to dry out. Just yesterday I replace the add-on side pockets for my arc-blast pack with zipper side pouches. I use them for rain gear and things I want to let dry. Easy to sew and sturdier than it appears
Thanks for the review Doug! We're glad this 1.0 oz MONOLITE worked well for your front pack and side pockets, we'd love to see some photos. Be sure to tag us on social media or email email@example.com
