  • Dyneema® Composite might be the uber fabric for ultralight gear, but when it comes to colors, you don't have a lot of options. That is until now...

Introducing Omnicolor for Dyneema® Composite Fabric - the first ever print on-demand capability that allows you to source technical DCF materials in virtually ANY color

It works like this. Simply select your Fabric, Size, and  Color above. Our team will then digitally print your custom color Dyneema® Composite Fabric and ship it to your door in just a few days!

Here's a short video showing exactly how to place an order. This was made for our regular Omnicolor fabrics, but the order process is the same for DCF.

But what about quality. How do printed Dyneema® colors compare to stock?

Thanks to our proprietary in-house OutdoorINK process, printed colors are made rich, deep, and vibrant - equal to or better than traditional stock colors.

There's a revolution brewing... Whether you're a DIYer or vendor making finished products, it's time to change the color game with printed Dyneema®.

NOTE - You can view a gallery of all 1341 available PANTONE colors HERE. Please note that your monitor and monitor settings can drastically affect how colors appear on screen.

  • We currently offer Omnicolor printing on the following Dyneema® Composite Fabrics:

    1.0 oz DCF  (CT2K.18)

    1.43 oz DCF (CT5K.18)

    2.92 oz DCF Hybrid ( CT5K.18/wov.32c)

    5.0 oz DCF Hybrid ( CT5K.18/wov.32c)

The digital print process works best on any "K" variants of DCF containing thicker mylar layers OR hybrid fabrics with a woven polyester face.

  • Omnicolor printing on  Dyneema® Composite Fabric is offered in two sizes:

    19" x 24"

    36" x 54" (i.e. Full Linear Yard)

Here's a pic to show you the relative size of these two options...

    Size comparison - Printed DCF

Due to the unique nature of the print process for Dyneema® Composite Fabric, all prints are done non-continuously.

This is an active choice by us to ensure that all printed Dyneema consistently meets the highest levels of quality that we demand for both performance and color.

Size options shown indicate the guaranteed usable area of printed Dyneema that you will receive. For example, when you select the 36" x 54" size, you will receive a sheet of Dyneema® printed with a  guaranteed usable print area of 36" x 54".

  • We do not currently offer samples of Omnicolor printed fabrics/materials. However, most printed colors on Dyneema® Composite Fabric are close in shade to colors printed on similar weight polyester fabrics.

If you're looking to see color samples before purchase, we strongly suggest that you buy an  OutdoorINK printed color map. This map is an actual linear yard of fabric with printed swatches of all 1341 PANTONE colors

Keep in mind that Dyneema® Composite Fabrics are semi translucent. This combined with a non-woven, laminate construction can affect color shade.

In general, light to mid tones are very accurate to the same colors printed on woven polyester. Darker tones tend to show up slightly lighter on DCF than on a similar weight polyester.

Great color

Color was awesome and it was made into a stuff sack.

All very good

It’s ok, color matching needs work

I purchases both the 2.9oz/yd and the 5.0oz/yd dyneema hybrid fabric in omnicolor solid. One color was in black because the black hybrid fabric was sold out, so I paid $22 more a yard so I didn’t have to wait, that’s on me. The 5.0 fabric I ordered in the “dark olive” color according to the existing stock color guide on the pantone color page. What I received doesn’t come close to any other fabric I’ve ordered in “dark olive” from RipstopbytheRoll so that was disappointing. I understand that shades can vary but with over 1300 colors, I think a better match could have been made. The DCF Hybrid fabric itself is awesome in both weights.

Origami anyone?

Though I haven’t begun my project, I have no doubt that this material is “IT!”
