I'm new to the DIY world and I was amazed at the feel of the material. It was silky smooth yet very easy to work with. My wife laid in the hammock I made and was immediately jealous. 10/10 would recommend!
I used this to make an extra wide, extra long, double layer hammock. It’s awesome. When I finished, I thought perhaps it was a bit overkill for just me Backpacking into the wilderness. I’m making a lighter one from the 1.0 normal width but wow, took this one out for a trip last weekend and it’s SO comfortable!!! I love the extra space. Also found the material doesn’t seem to sag at all, it’s so strong, yet dreamy soft and cozy. I had a night of high winds and loved being able to have material to pull over my head even at a nice diagonal lay. Made an amazing hammock.
The best material for hammock. I love it
Rich purple color, sturdy weave, I can tell it is thicker than the ENO sub ripstop, but it forms to the body more naturally. Holds my girlfriend and I just like the doublenest, but at half the weight and 1/3 the price.
Sewing experience: 30min faffing around with scrap cloth
Bought 4 yards to make a hammock. Material came in a timely manner, and as advertised. Spent 2 nights in it so far with no issues with the material. My only complaint is the color. I ordered the 'Dark Olive' hoping that it would have more of a green tint to it (think olive drab, but darker). Instead it's a brown. I guess when I think olives I think more green or black and less brown. Not a huge deal as function outweighs color for me.
