I have tried a number of fabrics from RSBTR and others. I find that I like a fabric with less stretch i.e. 1.7 Robic. However the 1.2 MTN has a nice amount of stretch but still feels solid. After several years working with RSBTR, I feel I don't have to talk about their service, quick delivery times or variety of products. You can find glowing reviews everywhere for this company. Because they are great.... at everything. Back to the fabric, it holds a crease well, feels tough for a UL fabric and moves nicely under the ol' feed dogs.
Used this to replace the material on my Helinox ground chair, worked great, easy to sew and appears very strong! My chair is now 173 grams or 6 oz lighter! Love it!
I really like the feel and machinability of this material.
I used your material to make a new hammock. I believe it will work out really well but I won't be able to use it backpacking untill next summer. I'm sure it will be really good. Light and strong.
Made a light duty hammock out of this for backpacking. Still feels super sturdy despite the weight (even with my 215lb self). It is a little stretchy, but still sews great. If you want more durability, the 1.7 Robic is also a fantastic choice.
