  • If you've never built a zippered pouch before, or if you just need a refresher, watch this video first. Many thanks to Devin at Backcountry Exposure for this fantastic instructional video!

IMPORTANT - Please pay special attention to orientation of the Uretek coil zipper. A common mistake when constructing the ZPP is to flip the zipper the wrong way out.

The video above details the correct orientation with teeth  FACE DOWN when attaching coil to fabric. This will ensure the water-resistant, coated side of the Uretek zipper ends up on the outside of your ZPP.

Good Intro for Making Bags

I enjoyed making this and found the video helpful. This was my first time attaching a zipper!

Thanks for leaving a review! We're glad the instructional video was helpful. Now hopefully zippers aren't as scary as they seem.

Good starter project

I've built two of these now as I learn my way around a sewing machine. These are really good projects that come with everything you need. If you're looking to get into DIY gear but you don't necessarily know what you are doing this is a great place to start along with the DIY kit and the zipper pouch kit. You'll be amazed at the finished product and you'll find the confidence to proceed to bigger, more involved things. Go for it.

Thanks for your review Minh! We couldn't have said it better ourselves! We're so glad that you are feeling more comfortable with a sewing machine and outdoor material using our DIY Kits. Happy Making!

Great project!

Perfect beginning project with enough video tutorials for all learning types. Just enough steps to challenge those new to sewing but a great looking piece of gear. Totally recommend!

Thanks for the review Al! We're so glad to hear that the ZPP Kit was easy and turned out great!

Convenient to Get Started

I find the kits very convenient to get me started. Living in a small apartment, I find it hard to lay out and cut fabric. One point the video instructions weren’t quite clear was how to install the zipper slider. I initially got the two zipper tracks misaligned. I find it easier to install one track of the zipper onto the slider and then clip two coils off the other track to help it ease into the other side of the slider.

Hey There! Thanks so much for your review of the ZPP Kit. We're glad the kit was easy to understand minus the zipper mishap! We are looking to update our videos and tutorials soon. Let us know if you have any questions about future projects, we're here to help!
